SUMMER CAMP FOR ADULTS

For many years our summer program has combined the best of relaxing summer fun with enriching courses that teaches skills to last a lifetime.

Our summer program is about learning and developing skills, making new friends, pursuing interests, and growing independence. We offer flexible courses tailored to individual’s interest.

Course

DRAWING / SKETCHING
Course will offer basic guidance on scale, tone, composition and perspective. You will be introduced to variety of media, including pencils and charcoal. You will learn to draw still life compositions and to execute them to perfection.

PAINTING (Oil/Watercolour)
Join us as we look at colour theory in detail and consider how it can be used to create interesting and vibrant studies in paint. Learn the tricks of the trade from a professional painter. You’ll have the opportunity to use and explore the different techniques used in oil and acrylic paints and use these to achieve your desired painting outcome.

3D MODELLING WITH CLAY
The course will offer an introduction to the basic principles and materials of sculpture. It will allow you to learn how to prepare clay, forming methods in clay; pinch, coil slab etc. It will also introduce you to the portrait study in clay.

TEXTILE TECHNIQUES
Course includes fundamental techniques of textile designing including, block/screen printing, tie and dye, weaving, etc. You will be able to produce samples which include repeats, borders, stripes, non-directional all overs, half drops and placements.

FASHION ILLUSTRATION
Course includes fundamental techniques of fashion Illustration. Learn to develop mood board, colour board and research board and covert your ideas into fashion illustration using a source of inspiration.

BASIC CALLIGRAPHY
This course will guide you, step-by-step, through the tools to use, and the scripts to produce to give you a professional expertise in this beautiful art form. It will introduce you to 3 basic scripts Diwani, Diwani Jali and Ruqa.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Firstly, we’ll show you the best way to use camera functions and settings in different shooting situations. We’ll cover the basic rules and principles of photography including composition, aperture and shutter speed, and the use of different lenses and flash. You’ll learn how to put images into a computer, adjust colour and make some digital prints too. (Must have your own digital camera)

DIGITAL DESIGN
Get ready to discover the true potential of the computer as a working tool. We’ll introduce you to two of the most widely-used desktop publishing software on the market: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

VIDEO EDITING
Step-by-step process to take your video footage, organize, edit, and export an incredible looking video. Learn to blend together sound effects, background music, voice overs, and other audio elements all into each of your videos and develop confidence on your editing software.

3D ANIMATION
On 3D Studio Max you’ll be creating and manipulating forms, surface textures and materials. We’ll focus on traditional Computer Graphics lighting techniques and rendering methods that will help you understand how to achieve successful and realistic digital visualisations.

SEPARATE GRAPHIC TOOLS
The course will provide you good working knowledge of key features of the any of the following software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere)
