1964       Two sister Rabia Zuberi and Hajra Zuberi started art classes in their drawing room
                 Registered it with Sindh Board of Technical Education
                 Named the school “Mina Art School” after their Father’s name
1966       Mansoor Rahi joined Mina Art School as Principal
1968       First batch completed their 4 years Fine Arts diploma
                 Lubna Agha, Abdul Hafeez and Taufeeq Ahmed were in the first batch
1970       School was renamed as Karachi School of Art suggested by Shakir Ali
1975       Mansoor Rahi and Hajra Mansoor decided to settle in Islamabad and left the school
                 Rabia Zuberi became the Principal
                 Abdul Hafeez took charge of academics
1978       Zaheen Ahmed promoted to Head of Fine Arts
1979       School was shifted to its current location
1980       Karachi School of Art started diploma in Graphic Design
1985       Ather Jamal become Head of Department for Graphic Design
1986       KSA organized its first art exhibition “Artists of Tomorrow with Artists of Today”
1988       Participated in International Biennale and Ghalib Baqar of KSA won first prize
1989       KSA celebrates its 25th year Anniversary
1990       First Floor of the building was constructed
1994       Department of Textile Design was established
                 Durr-e-Afshan from NCA appointed as Textile Head
                 Initiated Truck Art Caravan project in collaboration with PSO
1995       Artist Exchange Program in collaboration with Scotland Transport Museum
1996       Department of Computer Graphics was established
                 Won top seven positions in Athena Awards conducted by One to One communication
                 Second floor of the building was constructed
1998       First batch of Textile graduates
                 First batch of Computer Graphics graduates
2002       Roll Call exhibition of 52 established artists from KSA at VM Art Gallery
2003       Rabia Zuberi honored with Life-time achievement award at the 8th National Exhibition
2004       Grand celebration on completion of 40 years
2006       State of the art CADCAM facility introduced in Textile Department
2008       KSA Gallery was established on campus
                 Shahana Rajani appointed as the first Curator of the Gallery
2010       Karachi University grants affiliation to KSA for two programs; Graphics and Textile
                 Rabia Zuberi was honored with President’s Award for Pride of Performance
2011       In recognition of Zaheen Ahmed services KSA Library was renamed as Zaheen Library
2013       KSA launches its first quarterly newsletter titled Takhleeq
